Yavneh Girls Sixth Form have recently returned from a five-day trip to Poland. They visited the camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Majdanek, Belzec and Plaszow to understand the horrors of the Shoah and paid their respects at mass graves in Josefow and Zbylitowska Góra. They learned in the famed Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin, Davened at the Graves of the Noam Elimelech and Izhbitzer, and spent a beautiful Shabbos in Krakow where they Davened Mincha in the Rema’s Shul, toured the ancient Jewish city and visited the Sarah Schenirer’s Beis Yaakov school and her memorial on the edge of the Plazsow Camp. The trip was led by Rabbi Chaim Cohen and Mrs. Lani Eshel in conjunction with JRoots.
